Adobe updates Creative Cloud

Adobe has announced the 2015 release of its Creative Cloud, a move which is frankly puzzling. All the major tools – Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Premiere Pro CC and InDesign CC – have been updated, which looks an awful lot like a new release of the Creative Suite. Except, of course, there is no Creative Suite; Adobe did away with it precisely so that it would be free to update all these programs whenever new things were available, without having to wait until the suite could be revamped. And yet, here we are, with users paying to get regular updates, that have instead been rolled into a single 2015 version. Continue reading

X-Rite to offer Adobe discount

X-Rite, or at least it’s European distributor X-Rite Photo Europe (which is actually Colour Confidence), is offering a year’s membership to Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography plan, worth £102, with all purchases of its ColorMunki Photo or i1Photo Pro 2. Alternatively, the i1Display Pro now comes with the option to receive a 15 percent discount on the one year membership. Continue reading

Adobe builds Document Cloud for Acrobat

Adobe has extended its cloud services to now include documents, with a new Document Cloud option, designed to maximise the use of its Acrobat software. There’s a new cloud-based version – Acrobat DC – that will be available both via subscription and one-time purchase. Continue reading
